O.K., before I go further, I have Muscular Dystrophy. I wear AFOs (leg braces - think Forrest Gump "RUN FORREST! RUN!", but modern hard plastic), use crutches and a wheelchair for any distance more than moderately short.
Now, I don't know if there is already a game or not, but I want a game based on disabilities.
Deck builder?
Start out with a disabled character; paralyzed, amputee, blind, etc.
Then have basic power-ups; braces, wheelchairs, guide-dogs, etc.
Then special power-ups; Echo locators, powered chairs, robotic prosthetics, etc.
With basic defenses; stairs, sand, scattered obstacles, etc.
Special defenses; EMP for powered and robotic power-ups, audio scramblers for echo locators, etc.
Finally attacks, of which I have no idea!
Maybe it could be like Magic and you could build different decks based on disability or a straight-out random draw and have to strategize on the fly with trying to pull cards that complement each other.
Board game?
Cooperative where you can gain power-ups and work together to win the game using each players' unique abilities or winner takes all with different sections where certain disabilities do better and others worse.
RPG?
That would be easiest!
Whichever way you go, it's basically:
Start with a disability and gain enhancements, defenses/attacks/abilities, etc. and achieve a set goal.
What do you think?
