What music/songs would you pair with which game and why?

I play a lot of Hawkwind or Blackmore's Night. Lately I have been getting into a lot of Norse pagan music from Europe. I also play Wind Rose. Led Zepplin gets in there too. Glitter Wizard! Mostly a large fantasy bent towards music since our younger years were filled with a certain fantasy RPG. The music is a lot lower now because we are all old and our hearing is going! LOL

While this is an older post, it caught my attention. My brother in law (whom I do most of my gaming with) loves to have music playing. Luckily it is usally a lo-fi theme tied to the game. I find it makes it harder for me to concentrate.

The same holds true for me at work. I have a desk job and many of my coworkers love to listen to music while doing their job - again for me, makes it much harder to concentrate.

...back to games. I can defintly deal with it when he has music on at his house, but dont play it at mine.

Am I alone in this?

I am with you, I also find it harder to focus with music playing. If it is a party game with a lot of people, some fun background music is okay.

we don't play music at our house too much. Our game group where we played every week for like 3+ years had it going. What I'd give for a good gamee group again, music or none.
