Chrono Gear Dice Wheel
Six dice. Three ages. One wheel.
Okay, this is definitely one of those Kickstarter projects that caught my eye because... well, it's not exactly your normal set of RPG dice.
Chrono Gear is a dice wheel cast in solid zinc alloy with six different dice built into a single face — d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20.
Instead of throwing a die across the table, you turn the dial to the number you rolled.
And yes, the whole thing is made from solid metal.
The creator wasn't trying to "fix" dice. The idea was to make something that would look and feel like an object you'd actually want sitting next to your character sheet.
And I have to admit... a solid metal dice wheel sitting on the table definitely has some personality.
THREE WAYS TO CARRY IT
Voyager — A 90 mm wheel designed to go in a bag, pocket, or leather holster.
Timekeeper — The same 90 mm wheel mounted onto a gear stand, standing 155 mm tall when assembled. This one is designed to stay on your desk and be looked at.
Cube — A much smaller 35 mm version that's d6-shaped and designed for people who want something they can carry every day.
There's also a leather holster made specifically for the Voyager.
THREE FINISHES
Bronze Age — All metal with no color fill.
Silver Age — A bright plated finish with red and blue on the dials.
Golden Age — A warm gold-tone finish with the same red and blue dial treatment.
One thing I appreciate is that the campaign is pretty upfront about the gears: they're decorative. They don't actually drive anything.
The dials turn, the numbers are legible, and the whole thing is one solid piece of metal.

What do you think? Would you actually use a six-in-one dice wheel at the gaming table, or would this end up being one of those things you buy because it's just too cool to pass up?
